This is the Melbourne Racing Club Foundation race day for 18 participating charities but for punters that means nothing and they are seeking their own charity at a meeting that last year unearthed JAMEKA from the Naturalism Stakes (Bendigo Bank Foundation Cup) into the Caulfield Cup with a free ballot and winner. Rail goes out 9m, the track will be typically sound Good 3 but with this rail I like them running on wider especially later.

Race 1: 9-7-6-4
The personal vested interest here as my charity Pinchapoo is sponsored here by our association with Aquis Farm and this is a good start to the day. Wide race but like Weiry’s inform 9 LEATHER’N’LACE to make it three straight after getting doo smother and trail here. 7 JOYFILLY OURS is well graded here but poorly drawn. 6 SANADAAT should get a better ride but also an awkward draw. 4 ALOISIA resumed off good first campaign form and good jump out from informing Maher stable.

Race 2: 4-1-6-2
I love the value here about this Sepoy oak bound filly 4 WATCHMESPIN. Sure 1600m is short enough now but defied slow tempo to put them away last time and keen to follow through. 1 ESHTIRAAK and 6 SUNQUEST have the entwined form and well found obviously, but none are compelling winners. 2 CLIFF’S EDGE can improve.

Race 3: 11-8-4-3
Looks ideal for 11 SIN TO WIN now at the 1800m (Spunlago out).Profiles beautifully. 8 GOODWILL was terrific resuming and alos well placed. 4 ANAHEIM did enough resuming and now wants this trip and 3 EBEDIYIN is on that upward spiral. Reckon many of these will be major country Cups players later.
SUGGESTED: Reckon SIN TO WIN wins but those behind it will be coming winners. $3.5 bet now
Race 4: 4-6-1-12
Terrific race with two key players to assess and others to come from it later. But primarily it is 4 I DID ITAGAIN who ran to expectations on debut with class v 6 SUPERHARD who has the fitness edge and rising through the grades. 1 BANDIPUR can, and needs to find a little more and not doubting he cane. 12 COUNTERPLAY is the multiple value.
SUGGESTED: I DID IT AGAIN to do just that but follow form from race. $2.6 bet now
Race 5: 2-9-6-2
Awkward gate on the back-up here for 2 SO SI BON but is bursting to win and can produce flashing sectionals ridden correctly. 9 SIRCCONI is the big improver from this gate and over the odds. 6 REVOLVING DOOR gets good on pace run. 3 DUKE OF BRUNSWICK to get better run now. Not eliminating 1 HE OR SHE on best form.
SUGGESTED: 2 SO SI BON gets chance again. Respecting a saver on SIRCCONI. $4.8 bet now
Race 6: 3-6-1-7
Odds on 3 BRAVE SMASH off to Everest. Expected to win at The Valley, did so but plainly, but look at that Vega Magic run prior .Plenty in the Weiry tank for this one.Simple race. Stablemate 6 EL DIVINO runs the Q, from 1 KEEN ARRAY (not a punters pal) and 7 WELL SPRUNG (good first up).
SUGGESTED: Favourite BRAVE SMASH wins. $1.75 bet now
Race 7: 15-6-9-13
Cheering for this year’s version of Jameka perhaps in 15 SAMOVARE (for Pinchapoo in Charity race) but loved the way she attack the line at the Valley – albeit easier company but with an upward profile heading to 2000m and love Callow’s engagement at 54kg. Clearly 6 STAMPEDE will control the race and hard to run down, 9 AMELIE’S STAR on the back-up wants better luck, 13 VENGEUR MASQUE is the best value, maybe not this day but soon to fire.

Race 8: 5-7-6-8
Time for better luck and better tactics for 5 FUHRYK – just got it so wrong last time. Not worried about the outer draw for 7 MISSROCK – is a legitimate sprinting star and G3 level perfect now.6 RAVI lands in good form. 8 MISS GUNPOWDER won resuming last preparation profiles well again this campaign.

Race 9: 11-1-6-13
Absolutely missed out last time did 11 PETITION through a number of factors but ready for 1400m here, just to needs some luck from inside gate. 1 ROCKET COMMANDER has been teasing and well graded with claim. 13 JAMAICAIN RAIN has been so well found in market but is a BM 71 against topweight BM 94 and only gets 5kg. Can win but unders. Not dropping of 12 SEA THE SPARKLE.
SUGGESTED: 11 PETITION is a quality mare who needs a touch of luck. $4.6 bet now
