Good quinella here 3 SAMOVARE (gear change) and 7 SEA THE SPARKLE. Later gets 2.5kg here which is significant if you marry old form. 9 SPANISH REEF is flying and form undeniably. 5 NIMINYPIMINY is a perennial teaser. Will run top 4 (not win).

Race 2: 8-6-2-4
The race falls away with six scratchings and learning the way of 8 SUNQUEST now who certainly looks ready for this trip now. 6 ABERRO was excellent resuming at Ladbrokes Park and won’t have an issue with the 1509m. 2 ESHITRAAK looks ready for the trip coming back from Sydney. 4 MASCULINO is just that. Looks up to his name and came here Tuesday (watch linked video).

Race 3: 16-12-9-8
16 BRAHMOS gets the run and despite inexperience has far more upside than these. Winkers added after just missing at Ladbrokes Park when looked to lose total focus. 12 COSMIC LIGHTS runs well Valley without many wins. 9 EBEDIYIN will improve sharply with Weir’s caress. 3 ANAHEIM has run well in both first up career runs and looks dangerous in a BM78.

Race 4: 5-7-3-2
Key is the one run back starters for mine and leaning 5 HANS HOLBEIN but not much in this as key target race. 7 HARLOW GOLD has built a non-winning record but resumed well, needs traffic joy. 3 FOUNDATION is another who has had the one run into this and was good. 2 KILLARNEY KID continues to race well and one of these is due.

Race 5: 5-7-3-2
Never been a huge fan as a punter of 5 HEATHERLY but if going to try and jump aboard this is the race after luckless (self-inflicted) return here two weeks ago while other key rivals are resuming. 9 HOUTZEN as the 3YO looks well placed and is brilliant (Galloper here Tuesday in good style). But the price is under for mine. 3 SUPIDO might find this short but freshmen helps. 2 HELLBENT will be big spring sprinting star. Not ignoring 1 RUSSIAN REVOLUTIONbut as they say – can’t put them all in.

Race 6: 1-8-10-7
1 SHOALS is better than these. This is not target race but is the black type (listed) and under race conditions should be ready enough to nail these especially with two key rivals scratched. 8 SANADAAT resumed in good style.10 BLONDIE was also solid resuming and is a winner at the Valley.7 BROADBAND needs luck from outside draw but competitive on best form.

Race 7: 2-8-3-1
Obviously, 2 BRAVE SMASH stands out after chasing Vega Magic and arguably should have beaten the horse who wins the $1m Memsie last week. Short, but wins. 8 OAK DOOR stays in the battle and is clear quinella pick. 3 SANTA ANA LANE can chase to a place, 1 KEEN ARRAY is becoming unfriendly for punters but this race shapes ok for it.

Wow, what a punting challenge this is and the winner get the Willy Wonka ticket to Cox Plate. Really? So 4 STAR EXHIBIT was plain resuming but reckon this race shapes better and not dropping off. 5 HE’S OUR ROKKII is the well-founded favourite, and perhaps rightly so, for me just not this price. 10 LIZZIE L’AMOUR came here Tuesday, liked it. Well up to this on best.8 ARTICUS will improve like its top tipped stablemate after one run back.

Tough finish but going with Weiry – 4 RAW IMPULSE to improve sharply and respecting as ever 1 BIGDUKE. 3 STAMPEDE also first up here and never normally an issue without how they present from this stable. 6 PETROLOGY may help you as improve.But he is what he is. 2 BOOM TIME now with claim and should roll forward now to affect at this trip.
