Jason Collett is chasing a repeat of last year’s success at Wyong when he partners Paradoxium in the $200,000 Wyong Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1100m).

He won the race aboard O’ Ole in 2023 before she went on to claim the Magic Millions 2YO Classic, although Tommy Berry took the Gold Coast ride after Collett chose another runner.

Collett said he is looking forward to linking again with Paradoxium, who finished fourth on debut in the Group 3 Breeders’ Plate and has since impressed in two trials.

“He has got a lot of class about him, a lot of speed, it’s just a case of harnessing it,” Collett said.

“I like him. He has come back better, a bit more furnished from that first preparation and first run.”

The colt is one of eight runners, including stablemate Masvingo and several high-profile first starters.

Collett will also ride O’ Ole in the $150,000 Wyong 3&4YO Stakes (1200m) and is confident she can rebound after a below-par run at Flemington.
