Exceedance has chased down Bivouac to take out the Group One Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington.

Giving his rival a start over the 1200m straight course, Exceedance pounced late to claim the rich sprint and ensure he will be a sought-after stallion prospect when retired from racing.

Sydney filly Libertini took the minor placing after looking a threat to her male rivals at the 200m.
