Toby Lake is embracing the challenge as his promising filly Fieldelo gears up for a rematch with She’s An Artist in Saturday’s Listed Creswick Stakes (1200m) at Flemington.

Fieldelo, who bolted in first-up at Bendigo and won her first two starts, was outclassed by the Ciaron Maher-trained filly last time, finishing 3.8 lengths behind at Flemington.

“I was extremely proud of her,” Lake told Radio RSN.

“She travelled well, hit a flat spot, but was strong late. She’s only going to improve.”

Lake believes the extra distance will play to Fieldelo’s strengths.

“I think 1200 metres is really going to suit my filly,” he said.

“She’s getting more professional with each run and handled the big race day well.”

Fieldelo has drawn barrier seven in a field of 10, with Jye McNeil replacing Harry Coffey, who is booked for Soft Love.

She’s An Artist jumps from the outside barrier with Jamie Mott replacing Craig Williams.
