Trainer Rebecca Bayliss is eager to unleash Final Siren this winter, with the rising sprint star set to resume in the Listed Beaufine Stakes on July 5 at Pinjarra.

The four-year-old impressed in a Belmont barrier trial on Monday, cruising behind the leader before powering home under jockey Lucy Fiore.

Bayliss believes the gelding has matured significantly.

“He came back from his break really well,” she said.

“I think he’s improved… he’s more professional now and knows his job.”

After a strong summer prep, Final Siren won the Mount Barker Sprint (1300m) and placed in both the Pinjarra Classic and Bunbury Stakes.

He’s finished no worse than sixth in 14 starts, banking over $300,000 in prizemoney.

A proven performer fresh, he’s two from three first-up and relishes soft tracks.

“She (Fiore) said he felt great,” Bayliss added. “He trialled really nicely.”
