Topweight Hartnell has denied an army of Chris Waller-trained runners to win the Epsom Handicap at Randwick.

In a stirring finish to the famous mile, Hartnell relegated favoured Waller horses D’Argento and Unforgotten into the minor placings.

Hartnell was ridden by Hugh Bowman, giving Winx’s jockey his second Epsom after winning on the champion mare in 2016.
