A very dangerous day for us punters as there are five odds-on favourites and the other three favs are currently around the $2.25, $2.80 and $2.60 mark.

RACE 3                        NO.1    SQUAW PEAK

Squaw Peak has been placed four from six career runs and although she is a 3yo filly taking on older horses and has top weight of 59kg and has drawn poorly she should be able to account for the opposition. Her last start second at Canterbury was solid behind Charlayne who subsequently won again in Saturday grade and although she has a few things against her she looks a shade better than her opposition.

Eschara looks to have found the race for her to break her maiden following a good effort here a fortnight ago when narrowly beaten by Tarabai.  James Cummings has added the blinkers I think to give her the killer blow because she only needs a repeat of last start and she should get away with this.
