Following Sunday’s victory aboard Cheval Grand in the Group 1 Japan Cup with a 10 out 10 ride Aussie Hugh Bowman has been crowned the ‘World’s Best Jockey’.

The wonder mare WINX certainly helped Bowman to the title winning six group ones this year.

“I have a lot to thank Winx for there’s no doubt about that.

“Not just this acknowledgment but everything. Its an honour to be able to ride her” Bowman told Australian racing website Just Racing following Sunday’s japan Cup win.

The star hoop booted home 16 group one winners that included not just the Japan Cup but three feature wins in Hong Kong; Hong Kong Gold Cup and Champions & Chater Cup aboard WERTHER and the Chairman’s Sprint Prize on LUCKY BUBBLES.
