Champion jockey Hugh Bowman will miss the Tancred Stakes meeting at Rosehill and must receive a medical clearance before riding Winx in the Queen Elizabeth Stakes.

Bowman was stood down by the course doctor at Warwick Farm two races into Wednesday’s card after experiencing after effects from the concussion he suffered when falling from Performer during the Todman Stakes at Randwick on March 10.

Bowman was upbeat when he left Warwick Farm but after tests on Thursday he informed Racing NSW that he had a medical certificate which ruled him out of riding until April 11.
