On Grand Final weekend, the major meeting is the Friday night with the running of the G1 Moir Stakes (1000m).

Obviously going off last run, Imperatriz ($1.90) will be such a focus but several other elite sprinters will go around including Bella Nipotina ($8), Asfoora ($5) and Rothfire ($8) in what may be a smallish field.

A lot of eyeballs will be focused on the G2 Stocks Stakes (1600m) to see if Amelia’s Jewel ($1.50) gets around the Valley. If she does there suggestions were that the Cox Plate was back on the agenda or otherwise she would aim up elsewhere. There are some good opponents though like Going Global ($26) and Steinem ($11).

The G2 Bill Stutt Stakes (1600m) offers the 3yos another lead in for the Caulfield Guineas and horses like Griff, Fistsoffury and Autumn Angel will be fancied.

Fillies go around in the G3 Scarborough Stakes (1200m) and some good ones are entered. Skirt The Law, Cigar Flick and Bossy Nic have some quality.
