There is a chance of a shower today, so keep an eye on the weather. This track has suited those horses coming down the middle the last 3 times we’ve raced here, so keep an eye on that also.

Race 1

Keen on the favorite here 1 UNLIKELY STORY, who has trialed up well for this. At his only start as a 2 year old, he started favorite and ran second to the talented OUR TO KEEP. A repeat of that would see him winning here.

Race 2

2150m maiden here, with 8 ALMA BUBBLES the one ready to break her maiden.  She just missed last start when second here last time, and the step up in trip looks suitable.  She is thrown in at the weights with 51kg, draws well to race near the speed and gest every possible chance today.

Race 3

We were with 8 MEZCAL at odds before he was scratched this morning. Now with 1 EVOLO should improve second up on top of the ground, and with blinkers first time and now looks hardest to beat. 3 NOBLE THOUGHT will be the hardest to beat.

Race 4

1 CHAMPAGNE GARDEN has shown ability at his only race start, and has trialed well for this. He will get the right run from the gate, and on his only run so far, he looks suited at the 1350m first up. The John Zielke yard gets them fit to go the races, and I expect this horse to be ready to win first up here. Interesting to see how 4 MISHANI ROMAN goes now he gets a firmer track. Has shown this trip is suitable, and is the main danger.

Race 5

Looks a 2 horse race between 2 THUNDER ROCKER & 3 IL RICCIO. 2 THUNDER ROCKER on top here, he has been excellent at 2 runs this prep, and looks ready to race on speed here and win again. 3 IL RICCIO has the blinkers off here, which should help him settle into a midfield position and be finishing off well. They look the 2 to fight it out.

Race 6

5 REDEX was ran down late last start, after looking the winner at ye 200m, and can go 1 better here. He looks the one speed and should be very hard to catch. Although he was beaten at Dalby last start, the horse that ran him down has plenty of ability and is better than these when right, so a repeat of that will be enough to see him home here.

Race 7

The gate is tricky, but if the track is suiting horse wide and up the middle in the straight, 7 DISTRICT is over the odds. Has shown good ability winning 2 of 3, and although he won in easier grade last time, he did it well enough and should only be fitter here. It looks an even field, with some of his main danger 3 NIGHT ATTIRE drawn outside him, he can run a big race here.

Race 8

The race has been knocked around with scratching’s, which has made me even more confident about the chances of 8 LUCKY JACKSON. He handles all type of track conditions, races on speed and looks ready to win here second up. If that track gets wet, I’d make 10 SWEET ADELINE the quinella horse.
