Race 1

1 EPIC RANT is well placed here coming off a metro win. A repeat of his run 2 back on the heavy at Doomben has him winning here.

Race 2

An above average horse in town last start beat 2 DREAM MASTER, only the wet track can beat him here. 5 THUNDER ROCKER gets through the ground ok, and is the danger.

Race 3

9 NOOKS AND CRANNIES led and ran second on the heavy track last start.  Gets blinkers first time and J Lloyd goes on, is the horse to beat. 10 ONWARD TO VICTORY (I have a small share) comes through a solid form race in town, should improve here.

Race 4

8 ITS CHOUX TIME looks to be working up to a win this preparation, working home well in 2 runs this time. Has found a very winnable maiden here, and looks hardest to beat. One at huge odds 11 SALIENTE, has good Victorian form on soft tracks around this distance. The query is she hasn’t been sited in QLD runs, a repeat of her Victorian form will see her going very close here.

Race 5

2 BIG DAN THE MAN looks to have come up a decent prices here in a skinny field. Im anticipating the wide draw wont be an issue by race 5, and he is an Each Way hope off his 2 ok runs at Toowoomba. 3 MISSILE STRIKE has been good in much tougher races than this, he has raced at the Magic Million day, then back to Melbourne for a run, now back to QLD. If he’s ready to go he’s the clear horse to beat.

Race 6

9 OH BOY loves the wet tracks, and has found a suitable race here. Jeff Lloyd goes on, and he can find a nice spot in running just off the leaders, and get home over the top late.

Race 7

6 FLEUR D’ ORAGE is an absolute swimmer, will love the heavy track and is unbeaten in 4 starts on the Heavy. Securing the EW price here and hoping to upset the favorite, 1 VIADUCTRESS, who looks hard to beat.

Race 8

Competitive race to finish the day, with no less than 5 last start winners.  The lightly raced 8 LETS GO CHAMP was a good winner in maiden grade on a heavy track here last time out. He ploughed through the wet and really ran through the line well, rises in grade here but a horse on the up and hard to beat.
