RACE 1 NO.3 ALTAIR danger: 1 Diplomatico
ALTAIR looks good odds here from a soft draw and the little step up to 1300m. Two runs ago here he had to make a long run and was beaten in a three way go with the second horse coming out and winning nicely last week. Last start he got back to last and found the line powerfully. If he can settle a little closer he will be strong late. The favourite Diplomatic is the obvious threat coming off a very good trial and his one career run was most impressive.
RACE 8 NO.3 RENEWAL danger: 9 Absolute
RENEWAL should get the perfect run here possibly tagging Manhattan Mist and Chapelco who will likely settle one two and running along. Renewal is third up following two very good runs which have been on rain affected surfaces and I think he will relish getting back on top of the ground here. The danger is Absolute who is flying and comes here off a nice little freshen up and will appreciate a nice strong tempo.
