Kings Will Dream has made a triumphant return from injury to give jockey Jye McNeil his first Group One win.

Almost 12 months after suffering a fractured pelvis in the Cox Plate, Kings Will Dream was given a perfect ride to win the Turnbull Stakes over 2000m at Flemington.

Kings Will Dream staved off his stablemate Finche to give trainer Chris Waller the quinella with weight-for-age veteran Hartnell finishing third.
