Bendigo Jockey Club is set for a fresh chapter this racing season, teaming up with Ladbrokes in a new three-year partnership.
The deal will see Ladbrokes take naming rights for key races, including the $500,000 Group 3 Bendigo Cup (2400m) on October 29 and the $200,000 Listed Golden Mile (1600m) in autumn.
“Bendigo has always punched above its weight, and we are excited to be involved with the club as they embark on a new chapter,” said Entain Australia Interim CEO Andrew Vouris.
“We are proud to support the industries that support us… With a passionate local racing community behind it, we’re confident these races will go from strength to strength.”
The move expands Ladbrokes’ footprint in Victoria, adding to existing partnerships with Moonee Valley, Cranbourne, and Geelong.
Bendigo Jockey Club CEO Paul Scullie hailed the partnership as a game-changer.
“This is a landmark partnership… supporting our feature racedays and our long-term ambitions across racing, community, and events,” he said.
Bendigo’s new season begins Thursday 14 August.
