Maid Of Heaven has provided a milestone win for trainer Mark Newnham and jockey Rachel King in claiming the Spring Champion Stakes at Randwick.

In giving Newnham and King their first success at Group One level, Maid Of Heaven became only the second filly to win the 2000m staying test for three-year-olds.

Maid Of Heaven got the better of Godolphin colt Aramayo to snatch victory on the post with the favourite Thinkin’ Big taking the minor placing.
