Interesting race to kick off the day, with a couple of quality horses resuming. 1 STRATURBO comes here on the back of 2 trials. He gets in well with the claim and looks hard to beat. 3 WITH A PROMISE was a listed stakes winner over the winter carnival and a quality galloper. She may need the run here from the sticky gate but should be around the money. I’m leaning toward 2 HARD STRIDE who has a fitness edge, races on speed and will be hard to catch.

Hard to tip against 2 INGEEGOODBE here off his last start effort. Admittedly he had the race run to suit, but he was very strong through the line. The 2200m poses no issue and looks very hard to beat.

4 MANIAS is absolutely low flying, and can win again here. Jimmy Orman has given this horse the perfect run in transit in his last 3 rides, and he will likely do the same again here from the nice gate. 13 PLUCKY GIRL, also drawn well, and has nice weight pull on the favorite. I think these two fight it out.
