Nature Strip headlines nominations for the Concorde Stakes

We get to see the first of the races which will have a great bearing on the TAB Everest as the sprinters take on the initial running of the Concorde Stakes (1000m) with a million dollar prize money.

Some old warriors who are the winners of the last two editions are entered. Nature Strip ($3) and Eduardo ($4.50) will scorch the turf but they have some strong competition.

Bella Nipotina ($6) and In Secret ($3) are both noted G1 performers and regulars in this company and an old favourite in Shelby Sixtysix ($101) is in the noms too.

The G2 Chelmsford Stakes (1600m) sees some more of the Spring stars begin campaigns. Manzoice ($26) heads on bigger paths from here while Duais ($8) and Montefilia ($8) back up their excellent returning efforts.

There are also the new season 4yos like Madame Pommery ($15), Major Beel ($15) and Pericles ($11) to be watching.

Those on Epsom and maybe Golden Eagle directions tackle the G2 Tramway Stakes (1400m). Kovalica ($6) is racing again off his fantastic Brisbane preparation. Osipenko ($3) and Olentia ($6) are others from the Waller stable who will fancied.

The fillies race in the G2 Furious Stakes (1200m) in the second leg of the Princess Series. Many of those who ran in the Silver Shadow will be there on Saturday including the winner Autumn Ballet ($7) but Tiz Invincible ($4) comes off a different form line winning The Rosebud on resumption.

Other races will be hugely competitive including a Metrop lead up in the Listed City Tatts Club Cup.
