No breaks for Yendall in Mildura fall

Dean Yendall suffered no breaks in yesterdays fall.

Leading Victorian jockey Dean Yendall has escaped without any broken bones after a fall at Mildura.

Yendall rode three winners on Monday’s program but came off Solider’s Image shortly after the start of the final race of the day.

The jockey was taken to hospital for scans which showed soft tissue damage but cleared him of any breaks.

Yendall has ridden more winners than any other jockey in Victoria this season, with Monday’s treble taking his season tally to 138.

He sits third on the national standings behind Western Australia’s William Pike and Queensland’s Jeff Lloyd.
