LUCKY LOUIE is a 3yo filly having her first run since April when she was competing in group races. Her latest two runs were on rain affected tracks and she struggled to make an impact while her first two starts on firm tracks resulted in a third in the Gimcrack and second at Flemington in the group 3 Ottawa Stakes. She has trialled twice leading in here with the latest suggesting she is back in good order. She only has to find a glimpse of her 2yo form and she wins.

SAYED on face value was disappointing in the Wyong Cup when a $1.35 favourite and as a punter bloody oath he was but I think he had shown at his previous few starts he’s got a turn of speed and having drawn barrier one today he should be able to sit on the backside of Broadside. I think he’s a special but I must say I’m concerned how long he’s been up which is almost 9 months and he’s been from Sydney to Melbourne and back. Let’s hope he has one more win in him today for us to collect off.
