BEST BETS:

RACE 1                        NO.2                ENGLAND

Small fields such as this four horse race are usually a trap for punters but I am sticking solid and saying ENGLAND will be getting the money. He cost himself last start when he wanted to hand in and had to be straightened and he was only out-bobbed. The blinkers go on which will hopefully help him concentrate and also help as he is coming back from 1250m to 1100m. Barrier one may not be ideal but hopefully James McDonald gives him room and the big boy can start us off on a winning note.

RACE 2                        NO.4                SO TAKEN

It was her fourth start two weeks ago and she cast aside the maiden tag with a nice win at Canterbury and I believe she is ready to go on with the job. The best part of her win was she made a long run and never stopped trying and was going better on the line for a solid win. She should get a nice soft run today and be able to utilise her turn of speed.

RACE 5                        NO.11              PEMBROKE CASTLE

With the scratching of Regimen it leaves PEMBROKE CASTLE as very hard to beat here. He resumed from a four month break with a good effort when unlucky behind Major Wager at Canterbury. There is only nine runners here but a few should roll along which will hopefully allow James McDonald to slide in and find a spot around mid-field and be given every chance.
