Scone – Race 5 2:50PM AEST

No. 8 O’mudgee – Bet Now: $4.60

O’mudgee has developed into a very consistent gelding and he finds himself in another very winnable contest at Scone this afternoon.

The wide barrier draw might prove to be an advantage as he does have tactical versatility and it would not surprise to see Tim Clark ride him aggressively in the early stages.

He has form around some good horses this preparation and it really is a surprise that there is $6.50 available.

Scone – Race 6 3:25PM AEST

No. 1 Missile Mantra – Bet Now: $5.50

Missile Mantra is outstanding value at her current quote of $7 in Dark Jewel Classic betting.

She returned to the races with a good win at Caulfield and she wasn’t disgraced in the Anniversary Vase at Caulfield last start.

This race is no tougher and the Smart Missile mare will be storming home in the concluding stages.

Scone – Race 7 4:05PM AEST

BEST BET: No. 4 Phaistos – Bet Now: $8.00

It has been a while between race wins for Phaistos, but the Scone Cup could be the right race for him and he is great value at his current quote of $9.

He was ridden aggressively in his first-up run at Royal Randwick and he was still able to find the line nicely.

The Helmet gelding should take good improvement from that performance and he has won second-up in the past.

Scone – Race 8 4:40PM AEST

No. 2 Garrison – Bet Now: $SP.00

Garrison will need some luck in running from the wide barrier draw, but he is still good enough to win this contest.

There was plenty to like about his first-up effort at Newcastle and he is a horse that generally does improve second-up.

He does have tactical versatility and with even luck in running he will be in the finish.
