Race 1
8 ON A HIGH had the race shot to pieces before getting all at sea the last 200m last start. He gets the blinkers off and the winkers go on here. Will improve off that and hardest to he is hardest to beat. 6 WHOOSH was well in the market on debut on ran ok. He got back and had a chequered passage in transit before hitting the line ok, can improve here. 9 OUR MOMENTO showed good early speed in a fast run 1000m barrier trial 2 weeks ago. She tired late, but should take improvement from it, the 1200m first up is a slight concern. 1 DRAGONS ESPIRIT showed good speed last start before wilting, interesting to note the tongue tie goes on here, a forward showing wouldn’t surprise.

Race 2
13 SNAPCHAT GIRL caught the eye late when finishing third behind the smart Absolutelypositively last start. Hoping she can settle a little closer from the nice gate and will be strong late. Still wondering how 5 GOLDEN SHEAF didn’t win first up, it was a bizarre ride and note a jockey change here. Should improve here second up and is a chance. 7 MILLY MUNCHER has been a model of consistency but has to contend with a tricky gate. 4 GO DAISY has been good 2 runs back from a spell and is a chance again here.

Race 3
2 DAZZLING RED looks the likely leader but has come up short in the market here. Im looking around the favourite for a bit of each way value and have landed on 13 PORCINI. He began ok before being trapped very deep and pushing on to sit outside the leader last start,he still fought to the line reasonably well. With a softer run from the good gate i can entertain him each way. 6 NEVER IN DOUBT trialled ok for this, with numbers 7, 11 & 12 all improvers off their first up runs.

Race 4
The Lloyd / Edmonds combination has been a bit cold lately, with only 2 wins from their last 24 starts together, with 18 of those runners SP $7 or less. They combine today with a few favourites, the first one comes up here with 10 FABVIER. Started favourite last time, when missed the start, held up a touch and ran second. Gets his chance to atone here, should sit outside the leader and win, but gee the $1.35 is POISON, leave me out. 2 ROCK ON DESTINY looks the main danger, but I will be only watching them here.

3 POWERFUL SAGA looks to map to get the run of the race, just off a strong tempo. 1 FLAMING ACES, 2 HYDRAZINE & 4 VIENNA ROYALE should all push forward and race on or near the speed, which should ensure a solid tempo.

Race 6
4 CONGELATOR is coming off a wide run in the Group 2 QLD Guineas, and providing his come through that well, his a good chance in this. The start before he was very good late, and the trip here suits. 6 SORNJA the horse to beat. Put away her maiden win well last start, when stepping up to the 1800m. Really liked the way she ran through the line on that occasion and can go on with it here. 2 COSGROVE who was an easing favourite last start when beaten here. Stewards queried the run and accepted the riders explanation it didn’t handle the track, although it did run the second fastest 400 -200m sectional of the race. Steps to 1800m here which is the query, too short to entertain a bet for me.

Race 7
Keen on the 6 MAJELLA MAGIC here. She’s found a very winnable race second up off a good first up run. From gate 4 R Fradd should be able to have her on speed and give a great sight. 1 ARCHYTAS can trail the speed from the inside gate, looking for the 1200m now after 2 runs this prep over 1000m. 10 TYCOON TYKE will get back but will be steaming home out wide late and 3 ACADEMY HILL who doesn’t win often, but will be around the money.

Race 8
Expect J Lloyd to be aggressive early here and put the favourite 11 LYRICIST on speed and be winning here. Will strip fitter for her first up run, and 1400m looks an ideal trip second up here. 5 CONSTANTINE should also be looking to get across on speed, has been a very consistent performer and will be in the money. 9 TAMROOKUM can either lead or sit behind the speed, is a consistent performer at the trip and can finish in the money also. 12 MORE PATASI should enjoy a economical trip from the good gate and can be running hope into the minor money.
