Race 1
10 WAKATA is the interesting runner here for the Dunn / Fradd combination. She was a betting drifter on debut, when getting well back before working home ok for fourth. She gets gate 1 here and expect her to sit closer to the speed and improve sharply on her debut run. 2 FATZ is an honest campaigner, who will make her own luck on speed, and looks a chance also.

Race 2
An even bunch of maiden gallopers here, with 11 GANASI the on top selection. Both of his runs have been good this prep, and he was just beaten by a better horse last start. From gate 5 he can settle just behind the leaders and get home over the top. 8 ULTIMATE REALITY & 1 BETAJET can fill the minor money.

Race 3
The exposed form of 9 PIERIDAE looks better than her rivals and she looks hard to beat. A new comer to the Ben Currie stable, she will have to overcome the wide gate to win, but the booking of Jeff Lloyd should help her cause. It’s an even bunch behind her in the selections, 12 TEDDER AVENUE can be an improver here and get into the money.

*Disclaimer here with 2 OCCHILUPO a horse I have a share in. He has really excelled this prep stepping up in trip and looks the horse to beat here. The danger, and only other winning hope is 5 HIGH WIND, who will race on speed and be hard to run down. They run the quinella, leaning toward 2 OCCHILUPO on top.

9 GO DAISY third up to 1350m can improve here and ran a race at odds. She can settle mid field here and with a genuine tempo can figure in the finish. 4 SUILVEN was a long odds winner first up, but did all the work in the run and proved far too good, believe what you see they say, and he’s a genuine winning hope again.

It looks like a case of now or never for 9 HONEY HOLT here. She is forever getting back and running on, but if she can’t hold a spot closer to the speed here and get home, I couldn’t tip her again. 7 BOLD PEAK was good when leading stepping yup to the mile, he had a good run in front, and dashed home well. He looks the leader, and with a soft lead can certainly prove hard to beat. 3 KUTTAMURRA AL won with authority first up, if he can reproduce that here, he will be storming home late.

6 LOVE YA MRS at huge odds will run a big race from a good gate. He led and stayed down on the fence last start at the Gold Coast, which seemed to be a slow go zone on the day. He will get a nice run in transit here, and keen to be on him Each Way. 11 SCORCHA with the blinkers on, will be a big improver up on the speed here.

A Saturday metro race here after the races where washed out in Brisbane on Saturday, see’s a very competitive field for a Wednesday. 4 TIME TO TALK from the inside gate looks to lead, and I think he can roll along in front and put them away. 2 TORGENSON & 1 SOMEDAY are the class horses of the remainder of the field and pose the danger.

Race 9
Tough race to wind up the program, and the market suggests it’s a wide-open affair. I’m shopping for value again here, with 5 SUBSOLAR on top. She looked to peak on her run late, second up last time when finishing 4th beaten under 2 lengths. She comes here fitter third up and to steps to the mile, which is ideal. She looks to get a nice run and will be hard to hold out. 11 GIVUS A CUDDLE is an honest mare who tries hard every time, she can race on speed and give a sight, 9 BUNKER BUSTER was good first up, then unsighted in a harder race last time. The blinkers come off here, and it could be worth keeping an eye on the fluctuations, as if there is support for it, worth including.
