A less than ideal way to start the day with a 2150m maiden and 6 runners. 1 INTERNENTIONS should roll to the top and be the hardest to beat. He boxed on well in a slightly stronger race last start, a repeat of that should see him winning here.

3 AITHNE should be able to burn to the front and lead all the way. She was good first up, when just beaten late by BONSHO, who has won again since. She’s not flash odds but should get the job done.

Race 3
Another six-horse field, but 4 winning hopes, with 1 ROCK ON DESTINY on top here. He has the race fitness against his rivals, and has won second up previously. He will settle on speed and looks hard to beat. Numbers 2,3,4 all resume here, and look the chances for the minor money.

Race 4
5 BOILING was a forgive run at Doomben on Saturday. She never really got into the clear when she needed, and was race over after that. She will need to get home form the back, but if the track is playing fair, the small field helps her chances. 2 CLORKWORK ORANGE is the obvious horse to beat. Her run behind PRIORITISE & CARE TYO THINK last prep is better than these, just a slight query on her trial leading into this.

Thought the Favorite MAKE A RULER was way too short coming off Beaudesert & Toowoomba wins, not saying it can’t win, just under the odds IMO. 1 FALKIRK DRIVE comes here a few weeks between runs, after failing at 1350m last time. The drop back to 1200m is suitable, and if the track has a bit of give in it can bounce back to winning form here.

Race 6
1 WORTHY HERO should lead from the inside draw, with 3 FLAMING MOGUL either on his back or outside leader. 2 REALLY REILLY can be the one settling just behind them and the other winning chance. I thought 1 WORTHY HERO & REALLY RILLEY can fight this out.

3 CYCLONE PATH was something beaten first up. The run was excellent, and with race experience and the extra trip he looks a huge winning hope.

8 MADAM MAHAL can make it a race to race double for John Zielke here. She was an excellent effort first up, and wins in another stride. She gets a significant weight pull on her main rival, and looks the horse to beat. 3 REACHER has been ok in 2 QLD runs, looks the obvious danger along with 2 PENTAGRAM.

Race 9
6 BONSHO has been impressive her last 2 and looks very well placed here. She can sit 1 off the fence either on speed or just behind the leaders, and looks too be too good again today. 4 WICKED INTENT trialed well before a wide ran and dropping out first up in much harder grade. Could find the front here and run an improved race.

Race 10
Possibly the most open and hardest race on the card, with a host of hopes. 8 ELSARAY gets a good run from the inside draw, hopefully takes the trail behind 1 BLACKJACK BELLA and they control the speed. 6 BEAUDACIOUS looks to have recaptured her form, and is a leading hope also. 8 ELSARAY gets the favors here, and I think she is a safe EW play.
