Race 1
6 SNICKI MINAJ was arguable stiff not finish closer at her last start, and has the race experience on her side. She was only 3L off the winner and eventual Magic Millions place getter OUTBACK BARBIE, after being disappointed for run in the straight. I thought she was entitled to finish off a bit better, so I’m happy to let her go around without mine at the short odds. 3 CLOCKWISE looks the horse to beat of the raced brigade, she found the line well when a first up winner on a soft track, and will be finishing hard late here. Respecting the early money for the T Sears trained 5 CAMBOOYA who is unseen publicly but has been well supported.

Race 2
2 ZAHSPEED should roll to the front and take some catching. A repeat of his run 2 back has him just winning in this grade. 5 SLYDINI is an on speed, one paced type who tries hard and will likely trail the leader and be around the mark. 3 DON’T TELL MAMA can finish of the race hard and fill a minor placing.

1 SMOOTH CONSUL can be the improver here, back to the 1600m on a good track. He stepped up and failed when up to 2040m 2 back, before nearly 2 months between runs when dropping back to the mile, when beaten 2L to KUBIS. He has had a sharp trial to get him ready for this, he can race on speed and give a sight here at double figure odds. I’m happy to give the favorite a miss 13 IOWA at the price, her form has been ok and she will race well, just too short for me.

2 DREAM KISSES was a good effort in very similar grade last start, and a repeat performance will see her hard to beat. She was posted 3 deep on speed the entire trip, before being touched off late by 1 BAT A KAT thanks to a gem of a ride from J Lloyd. I think with luck in running she goes one better here. 3 CRUZE held his ground well in a slick last 600m behind Plucky Girl last time, and is a genuine hope along with 1 BAT A KAT.

Race 5
Hoping that the real 5 TARZAN turns up here, pings the lids and leads them a merry dance. He is a very fast 1050m sprinter, if he can lead these he will win. 1 STELLA OMBRA looks hard to beat from the nice trailing draw with the right run. Old war horse 6 TISANI TOMSO hasn’t lost his dash, and if they go mad as cut snakes in front, he can finish hard late.

Tough Class 6 race to decipher here, with a number of these a winning hope with the right runs. I’m leaning toward 2 COURTZA KING at the EW quote. From the inside gate, he should be able to position himself just behind the speed, and with a touch of luck and some clear galloping room, has the ability to win. 1 DESMONDS PRIDE peeled off good sectionals when chasing home 4 PLUCKY GIRL last start, when that horse had an easy lead.

Race 7
Expecting 2 KIRINI to start a short priced favorite off her recent good form, including a second two starts back behind Thursdays GOSFORD CUP winner SINGING. She won wok last start, and is the hardest to beat. I’m happy to have her in a QD but will bet around her at the price, and can entertain 1 RULING DYNASTY at the EW price. He was held up at a crucial stage last start, lost all momentum but was able to pick himself up and still run the second fastest last 200m split. He is a big lump of a horse, that needs clear galloping room, if he gets that here can figure in the finish. 13 EXPERTEA is the other winning hope, in a race that I think one of the above three mentioned will win.

11 PUBLISHING POWER is absolutely low flying this preparation, and is ready to take the next step. He was an excellent winner in similar grade last time in, before a few issues derailed his preparation. He has come back a better horse this time, and has smashed the clock in 2 big wins at Toowoomba. With no weight and a good gate here, he can settle first four and blow them away. 1 IL MIO DESTINO gives away 8kg to the favorite, but she’s honest and will run well. 10 PRIORITISE has been disappointing this campaign, but gets every hope from the gate.

Race 9
14 MISS KINDILAN looks suited at the 1200m, especially with the good speed engaged here. She maps to get the gun run from the gate, and she will be hitting the line hardest of the fancied runners. 9 BRIGADOON RISE can either lead or box seats from the inside draw, which makes her hardest to beat. Her run 2 back behind subsequent winner IM A RIPPER is good form for this.
