The 2yo olds on a heavy track provide a daunting start to the day. Sticking with the last start winner 1 You Know The One, who was a surprise first up winner, knocking off the favored stable mate.

Race 2
3 MANAYA resumes here in a lot weaker company that she faced last preparation. She has performed on the wet, and her last trial suggests she is ready to win first up here. 10 PEKING ROAD won well on a heavy track last start, and will competitive here again.

Race 3
A slog fest at 2200m on a heavy track, it could well be survival of the fittest. 1 OUTRAGED was an impressive last start winner, and can go on with it here. While he hasn’t won a Heavy track, he has had 3 goes for 2 seconds and a third. 10 WHATS THAT has had 1 go on the Heavy for a second, and was strong at the end of 2200m last time.

10 BONSHO loves the wet tracks, and should race on speed on here and give them something to catch. She led last time and was run down late by the flying Gatlinburg, and a repeat of that here on a wet track makes her hard to beat. 11 BRIGADOON RISE is another who will appreciate the conditions, and should race on speed. I think these 2 will be hardest to beat.

Competitive race here with a couple of fit up comers, 3 TYCOON ACE & 7 TIYATROLANI facing off against a couple of good experienced horses in 1 CAN’T BUY BETTER & 2 BULLPIT. I’m leaning toward 1 CANTBUYBETTER I think this guy has a touch of class about him, and if he is going to make the trip to Pert for the Summer Carnival, he needs to be running well here. 2 BULLPIT & 3 TYCOON ACE have form on firmer ground, and are unproven on the heavy. If the track was good id have 3 BULLPIT ahead of 3 TYCOON ACE.

10 REVALDOR ONLY IF IT IS A HEAVY TRACK. Yes, caps lock on means I’m yelling, if its not a wet track I’m not backing it. ** Disclaimer I have a share in 5 BREAK TIME who will be scratched. 6 FALKIRK DRIVE got us the money last time, and he can run a race here in the wet.

Race 7
5 LIVE FAST is a dead set swimmer, and is a leading chance here. The wet track should enable him to settle close to the speed, and expect him to be very hard to beat here. I think the times at eagle Farm represent slow track times, but not sure it was “wet” so happy to be against that form reference. 5 LIVE FAST is proven in the genuine wet, so happy to be on him.

Some lightly raced 3YO here, that makes it difficult to line up the wet track form. Last start winners 2 FREDDIE FOX TROT and 3 MISS EXFACTOR rise sharply in weight here, and while they are both leading chances, the weight will certainly make it difficult. 8 MEIKAS gets the nod here, he wasn’t far off Snitz and Miss Exfactor at his last 2 starts, and the stable is good form. He is in a lot better at the weights than his rivals, has won on the heavy, and looks a great chance.

9 TORGERSON bounced back onto the winners list, off a good tempo when winning well last start. It was a long time between drinks, but he is well weighted here as top rater, to be going back to back. 13 MISS DUBOUIS returns form a Sydney campaign, and her best is good enough in this
