Trainer Shea Eden has continued his stellar run of form with Alsvin landing successive wins at Moonee Valley, leading throughout to claim the opening race.

Eden has now trained eight winners from 15 runners this season and has had four horses line up in the city for three winners, including Bless Her last weekend at Caulfield.

Eden pointed out that Alsvin’s seven victories had all been for female jockeys and on Saturday it was apprentice Georgie Cartwright, who used barrier one and took Alsvin straight to the front.

It was Cartwright’s only ride at the meeting.

She said she had to be aggressive in the early stages on Alsvin as he could be lazy but once he got to the front, he dropped the bridle and travelled well.

Alsvin ($9.50) defeated Coming Around ($2.45 fav) by 1-1/4 lengths with Rivet Delight ($14) a half-head away third.
