Ascot trainer Neville Parnham celebrated more success as Snowdome triumphed in the Listed Tabtouch Pinjarra Classic (1300m) at Pinjarra.

Ridden by Brad Parnham, Snowdome led throughout the race and held off a strong challenge from Man Crush, winning by a neck.

Man Crush fought hard in the straight to finish second, 1 ½ lengths ahead of Final Siren, while Ice Pick Nick came from the back of the field to claim fourth but never threatened the leaders.

Snowdome’s victory marked his second consecutive feature win, following his triumph in the Cyril Flower Stakes (1200m) at Ascot.

Once an outstanding two-year-old, Snowdome had struggled after winning the Group 3 Prince Of Wales Stakes two years ago, but his recent form has been impressive.

Parnham attributed the turnaround to the decision to geld Snowdome last year.

“His last couple of runs have been really, really top class,” Parnham said. “Gelding him after his last prep was a good move, and he’s much more settled now.”

Looking ahead, Parnham is considering the Bunbury Stakes over 1400m for Snowdome but hasn’t confirmed his next move yet.

“I’ll chat to Brad to see what he thought of the run and whether he would get 1400m,” Parnham said.

Snowdome’s Pinjarra win improved his record to nine wins from 25 starts, and with prizemoney and bonuses, he’s closing in on $1 million.
