Tagaloa has given former New Zealand trainers Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young one of their most significant wins in taking out the Blue Diamond Stakes.

Busuttin and Young set up stable in Victoria in 2016 and Tagaloa’s win in one of Australia’s most prestigious two-year-old races promises to be a watershed moment for the partnership.

Ridden by Michael Walker, Tagaloa sat wide before holding off the previously unbeaten Hanseatic with Personal taking the minor placing.
