SUBRAISE has raced twice with two solid efforts but he finds a weak maiden here and with the extra furlong at 1400m he should be hard to hold out. He has looked well educated but a little new at his two starts so expect a more seasoned horse this afternoon.

SUNDARBANS resumed with an impressive win albeit on the Geelong synthetic which can be misleading before being outclassed behind Sunlight in the group 3 Quezette Stakes. She drops back sharply in grade here and the tempo of the 1200-m looks like what she is looking for. From a perfect gate she looks to get the favours.

OCTABELLO has turned in two very good efforts this time in including a last start second at Sandown when working through the race. He should be cherry ripe now and with a lack of depth here he should take a stack of beating.
