THE RUNNING MAN kicked off his career in the Blue Diamond prelude suggesting he’d shown good ability right from the get go. He finished midfield but was then sent straight to the paddock. He returned 12 days ago at Pakenham and did a good job when running second beaten just over a length. With that run under his belt he should camp on one or two speedsters and be ready to pounce.

BOLEK resumes here off a seven month spell and with good natural speed he should take the race by the scruff of the early and be hard to rundown over today’s trip of 1100m. The only query was whether he was ready to go fresh but the early support in betting suggests he is fitter enough for this assignment.
