RACE 1:                 4-5-1-7

The only one to race SECRET BLAZE now gets blinkers after doing enough on debut but there is an army of potential talent to beat here. Mick Price has HIGH RATIO ($340kby Fastnet Rock out of great mare She’s Got Gears) with the yearlings having shown ability. CELEBRITY REIN has won a trial. Wary of Weir’s SOCIAL SPIN (Toorak Toff) with little exposed of it in public.

SUGGESTED: SECRET BLAZE unless a big push for first starter.

Race 2: 7-10-9-6

Tricky race with so many resuming and a couple of those key chances gelded. Going AMSCHEL, the horse that fell on debut and spelled after getting within 6.8lens of Royal Symphony at Flemington. That’s good enough. But wary LOXWOOD, gelded and blinkers off since debut and ex Kiwi HOMADOS – also gelded and gear changes since trialling in NZ. WILT THE STILT has been costly but also has gear changes.

SUGEGSTED: Happy with AMSCHEL unless big push for 9 or 10.

Race 3: 9-10-6-12

Not that keen here, leaning CHLOEBELL, on-pacer, fitter 3^rd run in out to 1600m but never been much stable confidence in first two runs. Looks to have found a nice race here. EM FOR MIRANDA was good at Benalla and should appreciate the mile. From a good barrier NOW I’M A MAN only needs to run up to his efforts at Cranbourne and Benalla and he is a major chance.

SUGGESTED: CHLOEBELL, but tread quietly.

Race 4: 6-2-1-3

SINJAREE was tough beating Trent (since beaten) to take maiden at 2^nd start but liked effort and gap to others. BEDFORD is looking for the 1600m, never warmed up till late resuming. SO LITTLE TIME defied the market to win on debut. Wary EUROMAN resuming here for Weir at this trip.

SUGGESTED: Think SINJAREE can win again.

Race 5: 13-3-4-10

Deep race, going TAKEMEHOMEMISTER – who won its maiden here and resumes. WRECKING BALL is fit and gets blinkers 3^rd run in. BON’S GHOST has good fresh record suited here. AMERICAN GENIUS has been gelded and has good form before running into likes of Aloisda and Royal Symphony. Might be the obvious.

SUGGESTED: Gambling TAKEMEHOMEMISTER.

Race 6: 4-7-5-2

Skinny race for winning chances but sticking with ALMALITA who should control this over the 2400m. MICHELIN was be hard to beat but struggles to win. Am sure Williams will be well aware of Almalita tactics. PRINCE OF PAGODA is no star but doesn’t need to be to be competitive here. UNDERCOVER POET is a last start winner with a place hope.

SUGGESTED: Going ALMALITA but take top 3 in quaddie.

Race 7: 13-7-1-5

ROYALE EFFORT top pick five weeks between runs with Tamasa form. That’s good enough to win this. LIGHT ‘N’ FIRE is ready for Weir. IZENASHARK is enjoying a great campaign.

Suggested: Better bet ROYALE EFFORT.

RACE 8: 10-16-3-12

HARD EMPIRE finished behind PLUS EFFRONTE and OUR MALLEE HOFF at Donald but can atone. Big respect OUR PEAKY BLINDERS now into 2^nd Australian campaign.  SEE MY FLY in everything getting blinkers now. And that’s not it.

SUGGESTED: Go wide, HARD EMPIRE at the value.
