PHUKET returned in super order when he did the right thing by us on June 11 when he blew his rivals off the track at Hawkesbury. That was 1000m on a heavy surface so it’s a different kettle of fish today as he steps to 1200m and finds a better surface albeit still with the sting out of it. The track is currently rated a soft 6. The son of Medaglia D’oro has brilliant speed and may well stride to the front but he shown previously he is just as adapt taking a sit and utilising his turn of speed. It’s the last race of the day but with patience we can finish the day with a bang and then a nice dinner tonight.
