RACE 1 NO.5 MECCABAH
MECCABAH had his first start in Australia for Matty Dunn at Coffs harbour and after being well supported looked most disappointing when finishing fourth. The simply maths was he was one-paced and didn’t zip when the leaders sprinted over the 1300m trip. The step up in trip here and I think ridden a little more aggressive and he can record his first win on our shores.
RACE 7 NO.4 KID FLASH
KID FLASH comes to Queensland and into the care of leading trainer Toby Edmonds after formerly racing in Adelaide with Tony McEvoy. Since arriving he has tongues wagging with a rap on him and he has shown goof ability in his recent barrier trials at the Gold Coast and here at Doomben. From an ideal gate he should settle handy over this short course and take some holding out.
