BEST BETS:
RACE 4 NO.7 PRAHAAR
Only a four horse field which can sometimes be tricky but I am confident PRAHAAR is the one to beat coming off three very good this preparation. She was set to win on debut before dumping Jason Collett just prior to the line and subsequently she has got a mile back and found the line strongly. The small field today I think will play into her hands and with the long Hawkesbury straight she can run over them late.
RACE 5 NO.11 INVICTUS SALUTE
This daughter of Exceed And Excel created a good impression when she first trialled back in February and then again March when she seemed to handle a few smart ones with consummate ease. On debut she was solid in the market but the occasion got the better of her and she finished rearward. She trialled Monday of last week at Warwick Farm with blinkers and went like a jet. Even on straightening when Chilled Rose railed underneath her to get within a length she cruised into overdrive and won running away. From a good gate she jump on or near the bunny and be hard to beat.
RACE 7 NO.2 WEEKEND AFFAIR
WEEKEND AFFAIR was scheduled to run tomorrow in town but Jason Coyle has elected for the easier option at Hawkesbury this afternoon. He meets only average opposition today and with getting back onto firmer footing and up to the mile he should find a nice stalking spot before charging at them in the home straight. He has only won two races in his career and one of them was here at Hawkesbury.
