Only four runners to face the starter in the first but I think there is value to be had with the Ethne Potowski trained gelding HAPPY HUSTLER who after 12 starts is still chasing his maiden win. Two starts ago here at Hawkesbury Happy Hustler was beaten just over a half length by Youngstar over 1500m before he stepped to 1800m and although he ran second he seemed to just struggle at the trip. The drop back here to 1500m looks ideal and I love the booking of the aggressive r9ider Jean Van Overmeire.

RACE 5                        NO.3    SWEET VICTORY  

First up this preparation at Canterbury SWEET VICTORY was well supported into favourite and after getting well back along the inside things didn’t go her way in the home straight. As they straightened she was just about into the clear and I think ready to explode but the gap closed and never opened again. It was like a barrier trial sadly for the punters that backed her. The step to 1400m should help her race a little closer and with the extended straight at Hawkesbury nearly all runners get their chance. She is already a winner at Hawkesbury last preparation and with even luck it should be two from two at the track.
