The German import started his campaign with a credible second place finish in the Winning Edge Presentations Handicap and he wasn’t disgraced when he finished 11th in the Turnbull Stakes.

This is a genuine drop in class and he is ready to peak third-up in the Coongy Cup.

No. 7 Saracen Knight – Bet Now: $2.70

Danny O’Brien and Lloyd Williams have another exciting stayer on their hands with Saracen Knight.

He absolutely savaged the line to win at Caulfield last start in what was just his second race start in Australia.

The imported stayer still has a huge amount of upside and the step-up to 2400 metres is ideal for him.

Caulfield – Race 6 4:25PM AEST

No. 5 Sansom – Bet Now: $8.50

This is a very interesting edition of the Village Stakes and there are a host of winning chances.

Sansom is well and truly over the odds at his current quote.

He went to another level at the end of last campaign when he finished fourth in the Bletchingly Stakes and he also has form around Alfa Oro.

His first-up record is strong and there is no reason that he can’t be in the finish.

It has been a while between race wins for Missile Mantra, but she does look well-placed in the Ladies Day Vase this afternoon.

She made a slow start to her campaign, but she returned to a semblance of her best form when she ran some of the fastest closing sectionals of the meeting in the Rose Of Kingston Stakes.

The Smart Missile mare will get a long way back from barrier ten, but she will be storming home late.
