Puxi made her racing debut with a promising third place finish at Sale and she should take good improvement from that effort.
This isn’t a particularly strong race and she has far more upside than the rest of this field.
Barrier one is ideal and she will have every possible chance in the run.
Echuca – Race 5 3:00PM AEST
No. 2 Montalbano – Bet Now: $3.00
It has been a while between race wins for Montalbano, but this does look like the ideal race for him.
This really isn’t the strongest race and on his best form he does have a genuine edge over the rest of this field.
He has the early speed required to go forward from the wide barrier draw and it will give him every possible chance to return to winning form.
Echuca – Race 8 4:30PM AEST
No. 1 Valentina Star – Bet Now: $14.00
Valentina Star is a much better mare than her last start effort suggests and I am happy to give her another opportunity at very juicy odds.
She does have an excellent turn-of-foot on her day and on her best form she has a clear class edge over the rest of this field.
Echuca – Race 9 5:00PM AEST
No. 1 Young Liam – Bet Now: $4.20
Young Liam is well-placed to make a winning return to the races at Echuca this afternoon.
He went to another level at the end of his most recent racing campaign and if he returns in that sort of form he will prove very tough to beat.
Barrier two is ideal and he makes his own luck right on the speed.
