Xanthus has recorded three wins from his nine race starts to date and he is a galloper that still has plenty of upside to improve.
His form in Queensland has been strong and he has trialed nicely ahead of his return to the races.
James McDonald in the saddle is a positive and he has a great chance to make a winning return to the races.
Randwick – Race 5 4:20PM AEST
No. 2 Mercurial Lad – Bet Now: $16.00
Mercurial Lad is a much better chance than his current odds of $10 suggests.
It has been a while between race wins, but he has been racing well in stronger races than this one and he has recorded two wins from as many starts at Randwick-Kensington.
There is no reason that he can’t win what is a much more open race than the current market suggests.
Randwick – Race 6 4:55PM AEST
No. 10 Skymist – Bet Now: $15.00
Skymist is simply outstanding value at her current quote of $17.
The wide barrier draw isn’t ideal, but she does have tactical speed and she should be able to cross the field to take up the running.
The Lonhro mare still has serious upside and she is well and truly over the odds at the current quote.
Randwick – Race 7 5:30PM AEST
No. 1 Gone Bye – Bet Now: $8.00
Gone Bye is another runner at double-figure odds that represents outstanding value at his current quote.
The Al Maher gelding has won first-up in the past and he has trialed nicely ahead of his return to the races.
Robbie Dolan can ride him aggressively in the early stages of the race and he will give his rivals something to catch.
