BEST BET: No. 4 Lake’s Folly – Bet Now: $2.15

Lake’s Folly is a better horse than his record suggests and he is well-placed to return to winning form at Bendigo this afternoon.

He failed to fire last start, but his form before that had been strong and on his best form he does have a genuine class edge over the rest of this field.

Barrier nine isn’t ideal and he will settle in the second half of the field, but he will be storming home late.

Bendigo – Race 6 3:00PM AEST

No. 2 Hinchpin – Bet Now: $3.20

It has been a long time between race starts for Hinchpin, but he finds himself in a very winnable contest.

This is the weakest race that he has contested since he claimed a maiden race win on there is no doubt that he is the class horse in this field.

Bendigo – Race 7 3:30PM AEST

No. 3 Smokin’ Romans – Bet Now: $2.90

Smokin’ Romans will need some luck in running from the wide barrier draw, but there is no doubt that he is the best horse in this field.

He started his career with two wins from as many starts at Ballarat and he wasn’t disgraced at Flemington last start.

This is a drop in class and he can make a return to winning form.

Bendigo – Race 9 4:00PM AEST

No. 4 Beauty Betty – Bet Now: $3.20

I am surprised that Beauty Betty is not a dominant favourite for this race.

She ran well at Ladbrokes Park Sandown last start and this race is a genuine drop in quality.

This is her pet distance and I think that she still has the upside to improve.
