Bellicosity has an outstanding chance to claim a maiden race win at Warrnambool this afternoon.
He has generally raced in tougher company than this and on exposed form he has a huge class edge over the rest of this field.
Clayton Douglas will be able to keep him out of trouble from barrier nine and it wouldn’t surprise if he put a genuine margin on the rest of this field.
Warrnambool – Race 5 3:30PM AEST
No. 1 Baby Boomer – Bet Now: $4.00
Baby Boomer found the line fairly when he made his debut for new trainer Lindsey Smith at Ladbrokes Park Sandown last start and he should take good improvement from that effort.
This race is a genuine drop in quality and his best form would be more than good enough to win this contest.
He will settle in the second half of the field from barrier ten, but he will be storming home in the concluding stages.
Warrnambool – Race 6 4:00PM AEST
No. 5 Mystery Island – Bet Now: $2.90
Mystery Island has performed well in his two race starts since arriving in Australia and he finds himself in another winnable contest.
He showed a lovely turn-of-foot to win first-up at Terang and he was a touch unlucky not to win at Warrnambool last start.
The imported stayer put a fair margin on the rest of the field and the form coming out of that race has been strong.
Warrnambool – Race 8 5:00PM AEST
No. 1 Stigwood – Bet Now: $6.00
There isn’t a huge amount of speed in this contest and Stigwood should be able to control things from the outset.
He showed his quality when he won in impressive fashion at Hamilton last start and he is a horse with a proven record of carrying big weights.
It will take a good horse to run him down.
