No. 9 Sparkling One – Bet Now: $2.15
Sparkling One has raced well without winning during her career to date and she may never have a better chance to claim a maiden race win.
On exposed form she does look to have a clear class edge over the rest of this field and her trial at Longford ahead of her return to the races was excellent.
Devonport – Race 5 3:40PM AEST
BEST BET: No. 7 Phenomenal Dancer – Bet Now: $2.45
Phenomenal Dancer has a poor winning record in Victoria, but it would not surprise if she is able to string together a few victories in Tasmania.
This really isn’t the strongest race and on her best form she should be too good for the rest of this field.
Craig Newitt in the saddle is a positive and the wide barrier draw gives him plenty of options in the run.
Devonport – Race 7 5:00PM AEST
No. 2 Kohima – Bet Now: $3.40
Kohima is a very consistent performer and simply never produces a poor effort.
He has won at Devonport in the past and he makes his own luck right on the speed from barrier one.
He will give his rivals something to catch.
Devonport – Race 8 5:40PM AEST
No. 6 Gee Gee Caughtya – Bet Now: $5.50
It has been a while between wins, but this does look like a nice target race for Gee Gee Caughtya.
He has been racing in stronger company than this and he showed a lovely turn-of-foot when he finished second last start.
This isn’t a strong race and the current price on offer is well and truly over the odds.
