Pakenham – Race 3 1:30PM AEST

No. 5 Over The Sky – Bet Now: $1.90

Over The Sky is deserving of his status as a clear favourite and has an excellent chance to claim a maiden race win.

He ran some of the fastest-closing sectionals of the meeting when he finished third at Bendigo last start and this contest is no tougher.

Mark Zahra will settle him in the second half of the field and he will be storming home late.

Pakenham – Race 5 2:30PM AEST

No. 3 Red Maestro – Bet Now: $2.15

Red Maestro has recorded two wins and three placings from his six race starts to date and he finds himself in another winnable contest this afternoon.

He finished second behind Write Enuff in a much stronger race than this at Sale last start and a repeat of that effort would make him very tough to beat.

Daniel Stackhouse is riding well and Red Maestro should have every possible chance in the run.

Pakenham – Race 8 4:00PM AEST

No. 2 Flaming Bel – Bet Now: $6.00

Flaming Bel is not the most consistent horse in the world, but he can produce a strong effort on his day.

The majority of those impressive performances have come at Pakenham and he has recorded three wins from his seven race starts at the venue, while his record on the All-Weather surface is excellent.

Barrier one is ideal and he will have every possible chance in the run.

Pakenham – Race 9 4:30PM AEST

No. 9 Bush Christmas – Bet Now: $14.00

This is a very open race and Bush Christmas represents excellent value at his current odds of $15.

There isn’t a huge amount of speed in this contest and Georgina Cartwright should be able to take him straight to the front in the early stages of the race.

He will give his rivals something to chase.
