Scone – Race 3 2:55PM AEST
No. 9 Bright Eyed Girl – Bet Now: $3.60
Bright Eye Girl has shown some ability during her racing career to date and she finds herself in a fairly weak race at Scone this afternoon.
The Artie Schiller filly does look to have plenty of early speed and I expect to see Mitchell Bell take her straight to the front in the early stages.
She will give her rivals something to catch.
Scone – Race 5 4:10PM AEST
BEST BET: No. 2 Ficheur – Bet Now: $9.50
Ficheur failed to fire at Newcastle last start, but I am confident that he is a better horse than that performance suggests.
He beat a stronger field than this to win at Newcastle a couple of starts ago and his best form is more than good enough to win this contest.
$9 is over the odds in what is a more open race than the current market suggests.
Scone – Race 6 4:50PM AEST
No. 14 Mabel Josephine – Bet Now: $4.80
I am keen to take on Akasawa and Mabel Josephine is great value at her current quote of $4.80.
She looks to have gone to another level this campaign and she won in tough fashion at Muswellbrook a couple of starts ago before a good effort at Newcastle last start.
She can be slow out of the gates, but if she jumps with the rest of the field I think that she will be tough to beat.
Scone – Race 7 5:30PM AEST
No. 8 Lope De Broker – Bet Now: $2.30
Lope De Broker is a lightly-raced gelding that still has plenty of upside.
He was far too classy for his rivals when he won at Tamworth first-up and he should take good improvement from that performance.
Barrier two is ideal and he will have every possible chance in the run.
