BEST BET: No. 1 Leo – Bet Now: $2.15
Leo is deserving of his status as a dominant favourite for this contest at Tamworth this afternoon.
He returned to the races with a good win in a Highway Handicap at Royal Randwick last start and the form coming out of that race has been strong.
I like the fact that he has been kept at 1000 metres and he can claim another race win over his pet trip.
Tamworth – Race 5 3:45PM AEST
No. 7 The Crimson Idol – Bet Now: $3.90
The Crimson Idol doesn’t win out of turn, but she finds herself in a very winnable contest at Tamworth this afternoon.
She has generally been racing in stronger company than this this campaign and there was a lot to like about the way that she found the line at Newcastle last start.
Barrier four is ideal and she will have every possible chance in the run.
Tamworth – Race 6 4:25PM AEST
No. 2 Momack – Bet Now: $5.00
Momack will return to the races in a very winnable contest and he is great value at his current quote.
He finished his last campaign with two wins and an unlucky fifth and he has trialed nicely ahead of his return to the races.
He will be better over further and should take improvement from this run, but I am confident that his class will take him a long way in this field.
Tamworth – Race 7 5:05PM AEST
No. 18 Chico – Bet Now: $13.00
Chico has only recorded one win from his 11 race starts, but he is the value runner in what is a very open final race of the day.
He has finished second in his past three race starts and he has generally performed well without winning at Tamworth.
There aren’t many proven winners in this field and he is a much better chance than his current odds of $13 suggest.
