BEST BET: No. 5 Ethan Rom – Bet Now: $7.00
Ethan Rom does not have a great record, but I am confident that he is a better horse than that record suggests.
His two runs back from a spell have both been sound and he should now be at peak fitness.
Barrier five is ideal and he maps to get a lovely run in transit with John Allen in the saddle.
Swan Hill – Race 7 3:30PM AEST
No. 1 Nova Way – Bet Now: $11.00
Nova Way is well and truly over the odds at his current quote of $11.
He has been racing well without winning this campaign and his best form is more than good enough to win this contest.
The wide barrier draw isn’t ideal, but he does have tactical versatility and I am happy to gamble at the price.
Swan Hill – Race 8 3:45PM AEST
No. 7 Yulong Storm – Bet Now: $3.80
Yulong Storm has recorded two wins from as many starts this preparation and there is no reason that he can’t continue his winning ways.
He will settle in the second half of the field from barrier one and he will need some luck in running at the right time, but the horse is absolutely flying and with even luck he will prove very tough to beat.
Swan Hill – Race 9 4:30PM AEST
No. 4 Starden Lass – Bet Now: $3.80
Starden Lass has generally raced in stronger company than this and may never have a better chance to return to winning form.
The Denman mare has raced well at Swan Hill in the past and the give out of the track is an advantage for her.
She should have every possible chance in the run with John Allen in the saddle.
