Monday will see a host of quality thoroughbred races with our focus being on the meetings at Grafton in New South Wales. Take a look at our horse racing tips and best bets for Monday 27th April, 2020.

Grafton – Race 4 2:50PM AEST

No. 1 Grand Anthem – Bet Now: $4.50

Grand Anthem has raced well without winning during his racing career to date and he finds himself in a fairly weak race at Grafton this afternoon. The step-up in trip to 1720 metres looks ideal for the Equiano gelding and he has the benefit of proven metropolitan Rory Hutchings in the saddle. This is his chance to claim a maiden race win.

Grafton – Race 5 3:25PM AEST

BEST BET: No. 5 Flying Euros – Bet Now: $2.50

Flying Euros has finished in the placings in four of his five career starts and he really should prove too strong for his rivals at Grafton this afternoon. On his best form, he does look to have a clear edge over the rest of this field and I do expect him to end up in much stronger races than this contest.

Grafton – Race 6 4:05PM AEST

No. 6 Dixie – Bet Now: $4.00

Dixe doesn’t have a great overall winning record, but she has generally raced in stronger company than this. This is a genuine drop in class and she has an excellent chance to return to winning form. She finished second at Doomben a couple of starts ago and a repeat of that effort would make her very tough to beat. The Foxwedge mare will settle in the second half of the field, but he will be flying home late.

Grafton – Race 7 4:40PM AEST

EACH-WAY: No. 12 Maquina Voladora – Bet Now: $12.00

Maquina Voladora is well and truly over the odds at his current quote of $21. All of her best form has come first-up and her best form would have her right in this contest. She will need some luck in running from the wide barrier draw, but I am still willing to take the gamble at such a juicy price.
