Gregorian Chant is a much better horse than her overall record suggests.
She has been racing well without winning this campaign and she had no luck in running at Ballarat last start.
Barrier five is ideal and she should have every possible chance in the run from barrier five.
Pakenham – Race 7 3:30PM AEST
No. 11 Fantome Lady – Bet Now: $6.00
This is a very weak race and it is no surprise that the market suggests that there are a host of winning chances.
Fantome Lady has improved each time that she has been seen at the races and this might be the right race for her.
Joe Bowditch will take her straight to the front in the early stages of this race and she will give her rivals something to catch.
Pakenham – Race 8 4:00PM AEST
No. 3 Valentina Star – Bet Now: $4.00
Valentina Star returned to winning form with a classy win at Pakenham last start and this race isn’t that much tougher.
The synthetic track is not a problem for her and on her best form she does look to have a clear class edge over the rest of this field.
There is no reason that she can’t make it back-to-back wins.
Pakenham – Race 9 4:30PM AEST
BEST BET: No. 3 Groot – Bet Now: $2.15
Groot is deserving of his status as a clear favourite in the final race of the day at Pakenham.
His overall record doesn’t inspire confidence, but this is the weakest race that he has contested in some time.
1000 metres is ideal for him and he will make his own luck in running with Alexandra Bryan in the saddle.
